KWOK Lam 郭霖

Kwok Lam received her Bachelor's degree in Visual arts at the Academy of Visual Arts at Hong Kong Baptist University. She mainly works in ceramics and drawings. Most of her work is inspired by nature, and she enjoys working with natural materials. She is interested in some repetitions. In nature and life, there are repetitions. The petals in nature are constantly repeated, they seem to be the same, but they are not the same. Many things in life need to be repeated; some are forced to repeat, and some are actively chosen. Repeating the latter is not difficult because it's fun. What is difficult is the kind of thing that is forced to repeat. She found that when she changed her mind about something that had to be repeated, each repetition started to make sense. Repetition is not the same every time, but progress is made; repetition is refining the technique.

郭霖在香港浸會大學視覺藝術學院獲得視覺藝術學士學位。 她主要從事陶瓷、繪畫等方面的工作。 她的大部分作品都受到大自然的啟發，並且喜歡使用天然的材料進行創作。她對一些重複的事物感到有興趣，在自然界和生活中，都充滿著重複。 自然中的花瓣就是不斷重複的，它們好似一樣，但是又不一樣。生活中有很多事情需要重複，有些是被迫重複的，有些是主動選擇的。 重複後者因為它有趣所以並不困難。 困難的是那種被迫重複的事情。 她發現，當她對不得不重複的事情改變想法時，每次重複就開始變得有意義。 重複不是每次都一樣，而是每次都有進步，重複是在精進技巧。
